ReZoom™ in New York, NY

ReZoom™ is a multi-focal refractive IOL (intraocular lens) that distributes light over five optical zones to provide near, intermediate and distance vision. ReZoom™ typically gives New York and Manhattan patients better intermediate vision (computer-distance) than ReSTOR®, but the near (reading) vision it provides tends to not be as good. However, Dr. Bonanni can implant the ReSTOR® lens in one eye for reading and the ReZoom™ lens in the other eye to give better computer and intermediate distance vision.

Are You a Candidate for ReZoom™?

If you are diagnosed with cataracts and are experiencing one or more of the following symptoms, you may be a candidate for the ReZoom™ Multifocal Lens:

  • Difficulty reading
  • Difficulty seeing close objects
  • Difficulty seeing to drive, especially at night
  • Changing glasses prescriptions
  • Needing bifocals

The ReZoom™ Procedure

The surgery used to implant the ReZoom™ lens is a very safe and relatively simple procedure performed at Gotham Lasik. The only difference between this procedure and traditional cataract surgery is that the ReZoom™ lens is far more advanced, enabling you to have good intermediate and far vision.

Medicare Coverage

Medicare recognizes the important results the ReSTOR® and ReZoom™ lenses provide and is helping to make them an affordable option to cataract patients. Medicare will now cover the cost of a cataract procedure and allow the patient to pay for the additional cost of a special lens.
